Verglas is a modular lamp, that re-interprets the archetype of the “bougeoir” — or chandelier — into a contemporary shape. Using a simple tubular system, this unit can be transposed into a pendant, wall, or table lighting composition. The starting point was glaze ice, as a contrast between the solid dark branches, and the organic shape of frozen water. Geometric, yet natural and soft, the reflections on the surfaces help recall ice, in its lightness and ephemeral fragility.
