Referring to the botanical structure of vegetal species, along with the leaf, root, flower, fruit and seed, the stem is one of the six organs that describes the arborescence of a tree-like plant, and acts as a connector between the roots and the fruits. Its structural but circulatory purpose is reflected here as a lamp, as a conduit for electricity, from the ground, to the glass spheres of light.
